Ethics in Food Products Distribution

The domination of one's adopted culture was instrumental in its diet. Not all types of food can be consumed, and vice versa, the food may be consumed not necessarily have adequate nutritional value. The food category which then triggers some things, like eating behavior and lifestyle changes.

Ethical dimension arises when food was in the hands of producers or consumers. Interactions between consumers and producers raises ethical aspects, namely the rights and obligations and moral responsibilities. Being in a weak position, morally the consumer as the end consumer is entitled to the protection of related legal entities, manufacturers, and scientists, related to food that was eaten. Additionally consumers also have the right to have a healthy life with equal rights on the quality of food that they eat.

The pattern of relationships between people's behavior with the behavior patterns of culture is structured by each individual awareness. Through the influence of the environment and outlook on life, then the mindset of the individual is formed, giving rise to a variety of perceptions or patterns of thinking that are ideological. The impact of these perceptions led to a form of consumer society. Consumerist society is formed due to the emergence of the printed labels on food products and beverages.

From description above, the experts need to conduct a study on the ethics of food within the scope of theoretical and practical. Through the dissemination of information about the importance of an ethical dimension to the food, the community as owners of capital are expected to become more aware about their rights and obligations as consumers. Thus there is no partiality on one side of the economy of one of the parties involved in the net circulation of consumer products.
