E-commerce vs. E-business

In the era of Internet technology today, almost all of our activities, especially the interaction with other parties to be unlimited by time and place. Similarly, in building a business through the Internet. Online business system is best known for E-commerce. Then, we sometimes often wrongly assume a difference between E-commerce and E-business.

Electronic commerce or e-commerce more refers to online business activities for products and services exchanges. With E-commerce, every form of business transaction between the parties interact electronically rather than based on exchanges or direct physical contact. This system is usually associated with buying and selling via the Internet, or with the idea that any transaction involving the transfer of ownership or right to use goods or services is done through the mediation of computer networks.

Outline Definition of E-commerce is the use of electronic communications and digital information technology in business transactions were to create, modify, and redefine the relationship of a value creation between or among organizations or individuals.

While E-business has a different concept. If in E-commerce, information and communication technologies are used in inter-business transactions or inter-organizational transactions and in business-to-consumer (B2C). In E-business, technology, communications and information further functionalized to improve the business of an organization or the individual. E-business encompasses all the activities of business organizations through the medium of computer networks.

Outline definition of E-business is the process of transformation that made the organization to provide added value for customers through the application of technology, philosophy and the new economic paradigm.
