First time Coca-Cola make expansion to Latin America

Coca-Cola brand have become the most popular soft drinks and best selling in world history. On May 8, 2011 Coca-Cola commemorating the birthday-125. First produced in Atlanta, Georgia in 1886 by Dr. John S. Pemberton, Coca-Cola became the world's first soft drink offered as sweetened carbonated beverages. Coca-Cola as a brand patented in 1887, registered as a trademark began in 1893 and began to be sold freely in all parts of the United States in 1895. In 1899, Coca-Cola began to be a franchise products are generally packaged in the United States. Today, Coca-Cola can be found in almost every country in the world.

After producing Coca-Cola in 1886, Dr. Pemberton sold his business to several partners including the American tycoon, Asa Griggs Candler. Through the marketing prowess and tremendous business acumen, Candler popularized Coca-Cola until the 1890s, Coca-Cola's expanding Latin American countries such as Cuba, Panama and Mexico as a result of increased interaction between people of the United States and Latin America.

In 1906, Coca-Cola officially operate its first production plant in Panama and Cuba. Puerto Rico followed in 1909, and the period of rapid expansion throughout Latin America took place between 1906-1938. Coca-Cola learned quickly, especially in developing local markets. It becomes a challenging task considering the number of local factors and global that directly affect the business.

However, Coca-Cola in Latin America to win in terms of durability and optimistic attitude to embody the spirit of pride of Latin America, including the ingenious nature, humor and optimism to face the challenges. However, Coca-Cola is still being flexible and farsighted to realize that all partnerships are intended to extend fair and build new relationships in creative ways. Coca-Cola is also trying to create partnerships with local governments, local organizations and educational institutions, which enabled it to megembalikan something to society in addition to expanding its business network.

One of the real Coca-Cola contribution for Colombian was in 2005, when Coca-Cola Foundation in the United States donated $ 10 million to an independent foundation in Colombia to the problem of education and providing humanitarian assistance to residents affected Colombia armed conflict. This foundation is a non-governmental organization that seeks to provide job opportunities, health care, education and other services for the citizens of Colombia.

Coca-Cola officially manufactured and marketed in Colombia in May 2003 or after the stock was acquired by Coca-Cola Panamco (Panamerican FEMSA). The results of this acquisition has increased the share capital of Coca-Cola Company from 30% to 39.6%.
